The registration of your domain will provide the NOAA-NOC with updated information on your domain's current status. It will also allow the NOAA-NOC to provide the new subdomain with efficient service when it comes to delegating it correctly.

REGIONAL RESOURCE SERVERS

In cooperation with the NOAA Network Information Center (NOAA/NOC), four (4) regional servers have been configured to provide the entire NOAA network and the Internet with robust IP to hostname mapping.

These regional servers receive updates of the NOAA primary DNS database from NS.NOAA.GOV, the primary DNS server for the entire NOAA network. The regional servers provide secondary DNS service to the NS.NOAA.GOV DNS database along with secondary DNS service to NOAA's regional subdomains.

NOTE: When registering your subdomain, you MUST complete the entire form or your request will not be accepted.
